He was the first Doctor I ever saw (back in the 70s) and I got hooked on the show. The others came later as the episodes started airing on PBS in the 80s and 90s. Sure, K9 was my favorite companion in Tom's era, but everybody else was wild about Leela the jungle girl. I played the Doctor at a Halloween costume party once, complete with makeshift "sonic screwdriver" and bag of jelly babies. Wish I had the scarf, though.

My favorite doctor and my favorite companion. The fourth doctor was the first one I was exposed to when i was a kid.
I used to run around with a Bic five color pen as my sonic screwdriver and unscrew things. It also was my ulrtapen when I discovered Ultraman when we got cable inthe early eighties. A friend of my mom's actually made me a fourth doctor scarf but it got lost in one of our most recent moves.
