Artist's Comments

I'm opening myself up to a lot of crap by doing this, but I figure if I can't express myself in my own comic, where can I? Hopefully, I will be remembered for my funny comics strips and not my soapbox comic strips. X_x

Anywho, this started as a response to a friend on facebook that I turned into a comic strip.

I brought up Disney and Chaplin specifically because they are men I do admire, but I don't kid myself about the dark aspects of thier lives. We should not just whitewash or pretend it never happened but I just don't think they should be dragged through the mud no matter how much good they've done. If you disagree, you certainly have every right to do so.

Thanks for indulging me on this one.

That's right, everyone deserves to be remembered for the positives they contributed and not the negatives.

I have a message to deliver to the cute people of the world...if you're cute, or maybe you're beautiful...there's more of us ugly motherfuckers out there than you are! So watch out.

I think a person should be remembered as a whole. For instance there is was a particular german leader that built a lot of road infrastructure (I didn't say "Autobahn"!). Shall we just remember this about him? No. (I don not compare Michael Jackson to the person in question. This is just an example so you can see that only remembering the positives could be a bad idea.)

However, I don't think Michael Jackson was a bad person. He certainly had some issues. I do not know whether those caused harm to others but I certainly think he did not want to cause harm (which is no excuse, I know).

Still, Michael Jackson - the musician - was a positive genius. Amongst other things we have to remember this! (And maybe it's a good thing not to remember things we do not know but only suspect.)

Yeah I know. He did come to mind just before posting that but still. No one's perfect and everyone does something in their life that they themselves would like to forget. Personally I don't think said German leader wanted to be remembered for anything else. In fact almost everyone alive knows his name and, although his actions were terrible, he did them with the belief that they were right.

I do think that every "stars" have their down momments. Jackson is no exception, but we have to remember him for his good actions. Like his f*cking moonwalk dance!!
