Obama and Biden Comedy Duo by kevinbolk Obama and Biden Comedy Duo by kevinbolk
Last bit of political art for a while, I PROMISE! ;-P This an admitedly biased companion piece to my Palin/McCain Comedy Duo ([link]).

I'm considering setting up a voter registry at my table for the BCC and every one who registers gets a postcard of this or Palin/McCain, their choice. Not sure how it'll go over, but I think it's good to get people involved in the elections. It's gonna be a big one, that's for sure. X_x

I don't mind if folks raise a stink here about this, but do be sure to check your facts before you start telling me Obama is a communist, hmm? Some of the comments on the other piece left a bad taste in my mouth. :P

After a few mouthfulls, Biden has not appeared much in the public eye. DERP!

Funny and great. Though optimistic as I am I cannot afford to leave any presidency unchecked despite that it is someone I don't entirely agree on. Sadly, I have no time checking my facts. (T_T)

I do like Obama and if i had been 18 i would have voted for him when he ran for prez.
I mean which do you think is fair? Voting for McCain so rich ppl can keep their money and so the poor keep on getting taxes or voting for Obama and giving justice where justice is due?
Even if i was rich i would think about what was fair for others and not be SELFISH like so many ppl who don't want healthcare reform friggin are.

Considering Mrs. Obama is the ONLY first lady to have forty aids on the payroll (every other first lady had ONE, with the exception of Clinton, who had three) and that, before Obama, there was ONE gov't worker who made over $170,000 a year (there's now over a thousand with all his "czars" and whatnot), I don't think the Obama's are any less selfish than McCain. And the rich and poor alike are paying their salaries.

Don't get me wrong though, I also strongly dislike McCain.

well yeah--i know that that's a given with anybody working in the government. Especially the people in the senate who give themselves raises.
but his general suggestion for healthcare reform and other suggestions regarding money sounded like a better choice for my family than mccain's plan. Another part of why i didn't want mccain to be prez was that Sarah Palin just seemed fishy to me. Obama just seems like the better of two choices in my opinion.

Ah, let me explain something to you.

Imagine your Rich. not overly rich, but richer then most other people. you pay your taxes, and because you were raised right, you give some of your weekly paycheck to charity, so that you feel your giving something back.
BUT, the Government decides that you have to much money, and takes a large portion of what you make away. suddenly, your not so rich anymore. you can't pay for your current home anymore, so you sell it and move to another, smaller, more affordable place. you still getting used to not spending as much money, and so you stop donating to Charity until you can make the money you lost back. lets say you never make that money back, because the Government keeps taking it away every chance they can get. you aren't giving on your own free will anymore, it is being STOLEN from you without your consent.

there is a difference between giving, and Taking. giving is doing it from the heart, because you know it's right. taking is from Greed, and is Against the law.

Sorry to Ramble, but I'm just trying to let you see the other side. it's not my side, by the way, I'm far from being Rich.

Also, you mentioned "Fair." that is one word that this country was not founded on, nor is it what it's about. our Country is about every man being Equal in rights, not fairness.

okay, I'm done. if you ever do read this, feel free to reply back. I look forward to your response.

I do see your point---but i stated the previous from this point of view at the time: My family is low class at the time of the debate between mcain and obama. My dad didn't earn enough money and we were gonna get kicked out of our home soon. When i see Obama saying he's going to try spread the wealth around and tax people who earn around $250,000 a year vs mccain taxing the already poor and leaving the rich alone--who do you think i want my parents to vote for? I can't even imagine earning 80 thousand dollars a year let alone 250,000.
I think that Obama's trying to make it better for all americans--the bad economy is just shooting down his efforts.

But then again we make our choices based on how we're raised, what we've seen/experienced and it really all boils down to that in things like these.

I hope that made sense but i do see where you're coming from.

You really think Mcain was going to just tax the poor? you do know that the richer you are, the more taxes you pay, right? the top 1 percent of the richest people in America(about, what, a million people? I'm not to sure about the population of America, haha) pay 18.1 percent of pre-taxes, and 38.8 percent of individual income tax(this is taken from the CBO study from 2005). the bottom 20 percent, pay 4.0 percent of pre tax, and -2.9 percent.
of course, I got this from my Glenn Beck book, and as I'm not sure how you feel about him, you may just disregard everything I just typed.
I do think Obama is trying his best, but I don't agree with nearly everything he's doing. he thinks it's best, even when more then half of America disagrees.

My Grandfather came here to California, from Oklahoma during the Dust Bowl. he was poor. literally dirt poor, having nothing but what he could carry on his back. he lived in a tent with no bottom, literally sleeping on the dirt for months. once his house was built(his family built two houses, with nothing but their bare hands... I'm so proud of them.) he went to school, but because he was small in size(my entire family consists of midgets) and that he wasn't from the area, he was picked on a lot. he got in to fights, and came home more often then not with blood staining his knuckles.
he dropped out of school with a third grad education, and went to work. he worked his hands until they bleed, picking cotton, and doing whatever odd jobs he could do. he lived off of beans and corn bread for the first half of his life.
but, by the time he died, he was actually qualified as being rich. he started up his own business, a tree cutting service, and worked literally until the day he died.
I grew up hearing these stories, I watched my Grandfather, old as he was, climb up trees with a rope tied around his waist, wielding a Chainsaw and chopping those damned dead trees down! he taught me to work for everything I wanted, if it was money, or just something I wanted to spoil myself with. I guess that is why I see things the way I see them. and I can see why you see things the way you see them.

and yes, it did make sense. this has been a rather pleasant conversation so far.

dang--that's deep stuff. My grandparents on my mother's side came from Puerto Rico to New York and worked hard--but they never exactly got to the whole "rich" part. Same on my father's side too. It didn't make it any easier with the discrimination back then against Blacks/Hispanics/any other "minority" either.

I see what you mean though--to work hard and have your money taken away wouldn't exactly be very pleasant to say the least. Maybe who i'm looking at are the people up in the senate who are allowed to give themselves raises, have the best of everything, etc.

Well, thank God less people are like that today. Don't believe most of the things you hear in the News, not without looking into it yourself. most News Networks*rolls eyes* are saying that people like me, are racists and bigots because I didn't want Obama in the White house, and I don't want the Mosque THAT close to Ground Zero. I'm fine with it at least five blocks away, not Bloody TWO!

The People in the Senate need to be taken to the Happy Home, those crazy bastards, haha.*big evil smile!~*

I think one of the reasons News networks are calling ppl who dislike obama racists is because of how they acted when he went to Notre Dame. I lived very close to notre dame at the time and we saw the people that were protesting against him coming and holding up signs abortion and all that but there were these trucks that were going around south bend(the city where ND is located) going around with pictures of black people being hung and undeveloped babies on the side trying to relate them. It was just...wierd. The whole atmosphere around it was uncomfortable. And the way some people acted DURING his speech was unacceptable too. I just don't really think it would've gone to the certain extent that i saw if he was "lighter skinned".

I say they need to get some younger, "fresher" people in the senate that know what's going on. The older guys gotta go. And i agree on the Mosque part. There are plenty of buildings in that area that they can turn into a mosque. (Plus it wouldn't look so good if we ever rebuilt the twin towers only to have them knocked down again).

how long ago was this? and was the Hunchback there? did ya get his autograph? okay, kidding, different Notre Dame, I know. and of course there are some racists, there are in every group. but when they label, say, the Tea party group as racist, that's crossing a line. the Tea party does have racists in it, but they constantly weed them out, and send them packing. and like that Democrat guy, who was at the Tea Party, waving around racist signs, and such, he was later seen supporting the Tea Parties opponent, and had only been there at the Tea Party to get it labeled racists. idiot.

I heard of a proposed plan to re-build the Twin towers, only one level taller. on the top level, it would be a entire area to honor those who died that day. I think that sounds lovely. they should do that, if they can ever seem to get the job done. it's been ten years, they should of had that thing finished years ago...

I'm pretty sure Obama's taking too much of everybody's money right now, Rich, middle, and poor. And he and Congress are spending waaay too much of it on waaay too many useless endeavors. Also, "Fairness" doesn't mean taking what rightfully belongs to someone without their consent and giving to people who generally waste it on weed and Miller Lite.

"weed and Miller lite."
Really, dude?
Just because this is what you "generally see" doesn't mean that everyone's doing it.
I may not be as into politics as others, but when people who actually have the money leave it to the less fortunate to pay the taxes, what does that say to you?

Of course, you COULD just pull the people from the Congress or the Senate into this and put it on them since they take most of the money and they can give themselves raises.
But, hey, I'm only fifteen. Why should i even care?
