"Who gets their shoes shined at a truck stop anyway?" shouldn't the real question here be 'who wears sandals over socks and isn't 90 years old?' (or a German tourist, because apparently a lot of German tourists wear socks with sandals)
The boot shiner is useful to get mud and other dirt off a trucker's boots, depending on their job, such as hauling crops or livestock. At least that was my reasoning for why the truck stops had them there.
Haha! That's amazing. I didn't even know we had machines like that here in the PA and in a truck stop to say the least. But we are one of the oldest states in the USA, so I guess I kind off understand why it's here. I think.
