Or "How to make any remotely skilled digital artist cry."
This was the art for one of the slides for my "10 Things I Hate About Webcomics" panel I put together for Zenkaicon 2011. The idea behind the whole thing was to poke fun at common webcomics tropes, cliches, and/or bad habits and to help new creators recognize them and then either avoid them or exploit them.
This slide went with the "Horrible Misuse of Image Software" segment. It was hard to do and even harder to look at. I tried to remember back to all the mistakes I used to make when I first learned Photoshop and crammed them all into one horrifying mess. Can you spot them all? XD
Oh, and for the love of Godbeard, DO NOT FAVORITE THIS IMAGE. If this makes it anywhere near the front page I am MURDERING THE LOT OF YOU.
Kevin, you're going to give me nightmares with this picture. Let's see all the things wrong here:
1. The image in the background isn't rasterized. 2. The pixels are blinding me 3. That text in the corner takes away from the picture 4. Those birds are a... brush, I believe. And 5. LOL I love your Kevi-Chan thing. But its just a little scary.
GODDAMMIT.
I can't bring myself to look at this any more.
But I still will.

Did I win??
Great job by the way.
it was fun trying to remember all those problems, was it not?
