So I'm doing something a little different with my next set of art cards. This time it's "Lovely Lady Mascots!". You see them in grocery stores, magazines, and billboards, and we often take them for granted. So I thought, why not show them a little love in art card form?
First up, the
Sun Maid Raisin Girl. Interesting fact, the original Sun Maid Raisin girl was actually a real person. Her name was Lorraine Collett Petersen. From
Sun Maid's website:
"In May 1915, she was discovered drying her black hair curls in the sunny backyard of her parents' home in Fresno, California. She was then asked to pose for a painting while holding a basket tray of fresh grapes. This striking image was first applied to packages of Sun-Maid raisins in 1916."
I'm such a nerd for this kind of trivia! Anywho, next up is a local lady, the
UTZ Potato Chips girl! Stay tuned...

Awesome work.
