The 1st Enlisted Stormtrooper by kevinbolk The 1st Enlisted Stormtrooper by kevinbolk
This has been kind of a recurring nightmare for me: being the first non-clone stormtrooper and knowing no matter how many rebel scum I vaporized, I would never fit in. I think it might be a metaphor for my life. XD

Not to sound to much like a whiny nerd, I never got behind the whole "clone trooper" thing. I kinda liked the idea of it being enlisted guys. I think it made it more "real" and gave me freedom to imagine "Man, wonder if that guy Han Solo just blasted had a wife and kids?" 9.9

Oh, and yes, the helmet fits. It just goes on and off with a very loud "pop!". Imagine that for your amusement. XD

Given that the Classic Trilogy troopers sound nothing like Jango, I'm guessing this is actually right.  I'm wondering how many clones can be produced at a time anyway.  The Kaminoans gave the impression they needed time to grow more in Ep 2.

That is true. Another thing is that the original trilogy stormtroopers got nothing on the clones. Don't get me wrong, some are actually competent, and the ones on the Death Star just let the rebels go, but unless they are precise in hitting a sand crawler, they suck in general.

And about the time, the kaminoans said they age twice the rate of average humans, so clones would take a decade to be mature enough for war.

They are cloned from an evil Mandalorian bounty hunter, so. Some the clones in that tv show are a little nice though.

There are actually clones who have gone off and had a family. One even had a child with a Jedi (though the latter was killed during Order 66).

Though most of those were clones who'd defected from the Republic/Empire, there are a select few (the most prominent named above, part of the 501st) that served under the Republic/Empire, but still maintained a secret, family life.

And yeah, I've been fan-boying over it. It's so hard not to poke at DICE's website, but I've been successful so far.

Nope, I am not. The icon wasn't what I expected, unfortunately, but I couldn't care less about what it looks like.
I am straight as well.

Lesson 3,746: Strange things on the internet lead to unintended assumptions/interpretations. Should care more about things like this.

Not all stormtroopers were clones. In fact, only the 501st (AKA Vader's Fist) were clones; they were the best Imperial AND Republic soldiers in history.

I'm going to get a lot of hate for this, but I didn't mind the prequels, AT ALL. But most stormtroopers were enlistees, towards the end of the war, but there were various other clone templates at the time too.

You won't get any hate from me, I read the original book when it first came out, before I saw 'Star Wars' as it was back then. I knew about Palpatine becoming Emperor by subversion. My only gripe is that he changed a bit of the plot to get the droids in and it should've been rather a bit more than 18 years prequel. Think about who trained Obi-Wan, Yoda, and Leia remembered her mother a bit; which would suggest she wasn't a new born babe when Padme died. Other than that, I don't see why the hate; they set the scene for Ep4,5 &6.

Haha, I love this! (being the nerd I am)
According to Commander Cody, non-clone human soldiers were "expendable buffoons," and expresses this even further when he sees a non-clone storm trooper hit his head on a blast door. I suppose the clones were insulted by the enlisting of non-clones. George Lucas designed the clones with a big sense of loyalty, which also means they're loyal to their brothers... Bravo in this cartoon! It made my day! :D

I think the "clone trooper" concept was just another way for George Lucas to eliminate any guilt he might feel from allowing his heroic characters to do morally ambiguous things. Han casually kills Greedo in the middle of a bar? That's okay -- Greedo shoots first now, so it was SELF-DEFENSE! Luke and pals kill Stormtroopers by the thousands? Don't worry, they were all CLONES who were CREATED to be lightsaber-fodder. Somewhere down the road, George Lucas must have decided that only "bad" people do "bad" things and "good" people can only do "good" things, and then retconned "Star Wars" to fit into his insanely unrealistic black-and-white view.

Aww, don't be so hard on poor ol' Lucas. It might not have been perfect but his work has inspired many to delve into the sci-fi genre. I'm a huge Star Wars buff myself

This is exactly how I feel!

Oh yeah, I first watched star wars when I was 3, and when anything exploded, I would clap my hands and say yay! Funniest thing is, most of the time it was when the enemy they were facing exploeded. xD

I wonder that too!! I thought, hey...why all clones? That means they'll all make the same mistake. So, I just thought of them being individual people, then I would think, ohhhh,Luke(Han, Leia, Chewie, Yoda) that guys son is gonna get you....xD

Have you seen Harry Plinkett's reviews of the Star Wars prequels? He really hits the nail on the head. I think he mentions in the episode 3 review that the "clone wars" should have been enlisted men versus cloned monsters, not robots versus cloned Australians.
