Yikes! Sorry for lack of updates last week. Got caught up in finishing cards for Artscape. Anywho, the saga of The Last Mystical Legend of the Fantastic Fantasy Trigger Star continues...

BONUS DIRECTOR'S COMMENTARY

-This was meant to be one-off strip concept with the whole "Henchmonkeys Union" and random Reagan fairy, but we ended up bringing them back for a rather bizarre subplot later in the series.

-B.L. idolizes Ronald Reagan and shouts the names of prominent conservatives whenever he gets excited. There's no real political implication in this, I just thought "G. Gordon Liddy" sounded funny (and the "satan" line from this strip, though funny, would be frequently used by "Murdock" from the Gorillaz, so I wanted to come up with something new)

-"The Gipper" was a nickname for Ronald Reagan. It comes from his role as George Gipp in the film “Knute Rockne, All American.”

I love this guys jagged toothy mouth and the fact its never closed, course not that he needs it to move what with those big gooey eyes doing all the acting.
