Hiya, gang! So I'm finally back from my forced 2 month hiatus brought on by my recent spinal injury. Over the next few weeks, I'll be giving you a humorous look at the particulars about what happened during this time. But first, here's a massive, full-color public service comic (with good ol' Dr. Ooven-Schtooven) to help you to avoid the same mistakes that landed me in a whole lotta back pain.
"Dashing" in this strip is actually based on my good buddy, Wes, over at Scary Crayon. He was one of my many friends who came by to hang out and help me while I was stuck in bed. He's told me on several occasions that his biggest dream since we've met was to have a cameo in one of the "Mascot" strips, so here ya' go, buddy! Don't say I never did anything for ya'!
Seriously though, thanks to Wes, all of my other dear friends, and you guys for being so helpful and supportive while I was out of commission. It's great to be back!
Hi - this is just to say, I used the title of your amazing piece in a poem of mine, for #TheTitlePage's contest, over here! If you'd prefer for me not to use it, please let me know, and I'll change it immediately. Thank you!
Ugh, I'll be needing a scoliosis surgery in a few months...
I guess I'll have to follow these rules when I'm recovering, although my school seems to think that 20-pound backpacks are the norm for homework. (Gah!)
I am Dumb-ass all the way. I also got a back injury, ignored it for a couple weeks, and while waking down the hallway to the principals office, collapsed and laid there for a half an hour.... -__- no one came looking for me....
I *love* the dumbass panels. They made my day. And the 4th panel with the spine going all creepy evil on us was terrifying. ._. I promise I'll do everything Mr. Dashing does!!
Is it bad that the only thing I could think about when reading this is why on earth someone would need to carry a lawnmower up a flight of stairs? There's no grass to mow on the stairs...
